In May 2016, Gucci’s creative director Alessandro Michele had the honour of presenting his Cruise Collection in the iconic location of London’s Westminster Abbey.
For the occasion, the entire entourage secretly relocated from Milan for a week to prepare the event in a huge open space in the basement of the stunning Victoria House in Covent Garden.
Lorenzo was asked to build a canteen, design and execute the menu, employ the staff and run the service from 8am to 8pm for 5 days. The catering was very successful and received incredibly positive feedback.
Key responsibilities: Planning and building the canteen; project management; menu design and execution; staff employment; sourcing and management of suppliers; fulfilment of health and safety, insurance and risk assessment requirements; logistics; direction of the service.
*The venue had no running water or kitchen facilities.
